RPM by Diameter (Guideline)

Smaller bits run faster:

• 5–6 mm → about 900–1,100 RPM

• 8–10 mm → about 700–900 RPM

• 12–16 mm → about 500–700 RPM

• 20–28 mm → about 350–500 RPM

Always use the hammer mode for masonry and keep steady pressure — let the bit do the work.

Material Match

• Concrete / brick / stone → standard SDS Plus (e.g. FANXI 2017 SDS Plus, 4-cutter tip for clean holes).

• Heavy concrete / demolition → step up to SDS Max (FANXI 5016 / 5017), which handles 30 mm+ and deeper holes.

• Tile / glass → switch to a TCT spear or diamond bit; never an SDS masonry bit.

Life Tips

Pull the bit out every few seconds to clear dust, and avoid side-loading (it cracks the shank). A 4-cutter (cross) tip like FANXI 2017 / 2021 resists binding in rebar.
