How to Drill Glass and Tile Without Cracking

Use the Right Bit

• Glass / ceramic tile → TCT spear-point bit (e.g. FANXI 6010 TCT spear porcelain drill bit — patented geometry; or 6015 4Cutter for harder porcelain).

• Natural stone / granite → diamond core bit (FANXI 3811 / 3812).

Step by Step

1. Mark with painter's tape (stops skating).

2. Start at a low angle, no hammer mode, then stand upright.

3. Keep RPM low and cool with water — porcelain generates heat fast.

4. Ease off as the bit breaks through the back to avoid blow-out.

Never

Use a masonry or twist bit on tile — the carbide will chip the glaze instantly.
