3/4" Reduced Shank Drills are used for drilling holes larger than the capacity of a 3/4" drill chuck. Reduced shank drills should only be used for light to medium duty Drilling applications as they do not have the torque strength of a straight shank drill.
Reduced shank is not as hard as the body of drill to allow more flex and less breakage.
For heavy duty drilling of larger holes requiring reduced diameter straight shank drills, Suitable for most drilling operations in a wide array of materials having low and medium tensile strength ratings.
For machine drilling in ferrous or non-ferrous metals. Ground oxide finish flutes retain lubricants and ease chip welding when drilling cast iron, steel, etc.
Black oxide finish or Bright finish or Titanium Coated are available on request.
